American famous Novelist F.Scott Fitzgerald shook the Literary world to write a Magnum Opus "The Great Gatsby", based on a true story but the real name of Gatsby is missing in the novel. It is not only the novel of American dream but also the novel of true Love Story of Gatsby. The Great Gatsby is the story of Jay Gatsby, he established himself as a millionaire, his love affair with Daisy and tragic ending with Gatsby's murder to stop all his fame and name but still Gatsby was great, that is the the most important fact that totally justified the title but time for justify Gatsby as a true lover.

American Dream

Everyone wants to fulfill one's dream but dream is an unconscious state of mind that is a mixture of reality and imagination that you must understand to read Sigmund Freud's "The Interpretation of Dreams". Gatsby not only saw his dream but also proved in his practical way to become a millionaire in where most of American people want such a life. Gatsby inspired his true love and proved him as a American millionaire but his true love never comes once again in Gatsby's life and he became a American dreamer.

Gatsby's love:

Daisy and Gatsby love each other for five years but when Gatsby joined the army in war to make money as a better American life and want to give a best life to Daisy. He said to Daisy wait until I am return and will marry her but Daisy breaks the heart of Gatsby and Marry Tom Buchanan, an aristocratic person, but after a few days, Daisy understands Tom has a multi-affair with other girls specially Myrtle Wilson, the wife of George. One the other hand, Gatsby meets a tycoon and learns how to became a millionaire and make a palace just opposite of Daisy's house.

Gatsby's Weekend Party:

Being a Millionaire, Gatsby through party every weekend in his palace and most of the aristocats people enjoy the party.most of the people even don't know who is Gatsby and how he makes lots of money, nobody the the exact reason but very interested point are why did he through party every weekend without invitation? That is the only reason to meet Daisy. He believes Daisy must come one day in his weekend party and they will reunite once again. And Nick, the cousin of Daisy, fulfills his dream to welcome Gatsby's weekend party with Daisy. And after that, they meet frequently to revive their love once again for that their secret love came on the page of newspaper that a misterious lady meet with Gatsby

The secret of the Accident:

Everyone believe that Gatsby killed Myrtle Wilson but that time the car not drive by Gatsby but Daisy, Daisy said to Tom and Tom also take the chance to revenge on Gatsby, because Tom knew the love affair of Gatsby and Daisy. Gatsby,as a true lover, to save the life of Daisy, he took all charges on his head and that secret only knew Nick, a person who supports Gatsby. Gatsby thought Daisy must came back in his life for his sacrifice but the dream not fulfill in Gatsby life and ultimately took the eternal sleep with the bullet of Geroge's gun.

 Gatsby's Furenal:

Everyone knows that Gatsby was the killer of Myrtle Wilson but only one person who knew the real truth, he is none but Nick because Gatsby told all the truth to Nick who narrated all the story of the novel. It is very pathetic when Nick keeps a Funeral ceremony for Gatsby, nobody attends this ceremony without Nick Even Daisy not attending and not feeling a drop of eye's water for Gatsby's death. That Gatsby who sacrificed his life only for Daisy and she is ready to leave the city with his husband Tom, that is the tragic ending of the novel also the life of Gatsby whose weekend party was paradise for others but not everything became hell but still Gatsby was great.

 Conclusion:

Daisy never loved Gatsby but his wealth. If she truly loved Gatsby, she would wait for him, but she didn't. She wants an aristocratic life like Catherine in Wuthering Heights. When she understands Tom has a multi-affair and that time she meets Gatsby, knowing that he is now a millionaire but when she accident Myrtle and Gatsby took all charges on him that time she never meets with Gatsby even not come to his Funeral ceremony but ready to leave the country. From the beginning to the ending, Gatsby suffered to achieve his love in the novel. So, here, Gatsby was great as a true lover but ends with a tragic death and he became the Great.

Write a note on Joyce's use of epiphany in A Portrait of The Artist As a Young Man.

Write a note on Joyce's use of epiphany in A Portrait of The Artist As a Young Man . Answer> Epiphany denotes 'manifestation 'or ' showing forth' . This term refers to the incarnation of a divine being ,referring to the festival commemorating the manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles, often called the “Magi”, but in   A Portrait of The Artist as A Young Man , James Joyce uses moments of clarity and a recognition of another perspective as "epiphanies." The reader becomes aware of the change in Stephen's character, however momentary, and this drives the plot of the novel. In  Stephen Hero , an earlier version of  A Portrait of The Artist as a Young Man , Stephen is referring to the clock at the Ballast Office, a seemingly insignificant building and clock but capable of making Stephen think because, "all at once I see it and I know at once what it is: epiphany." James Joyce nicely culminates the final choice of Stephen of vocation an...
