আমি চলেছি একা একা পাহাড়; নদী - সাগর ধরে, খুজেছি বনবাদাড়ে, সবুজের আভা নিয়ে।
পাইনি কোথাও তোমায় দেখা; জনলোকের মাঝে,
একাকী হেতায় মিলেছি, তোমার সনে।
তোমায় আমি দেখাবো; জোসনা রাতের আলো জ্বেলে,
সবাই কেমন আনন্দ করে, ভয় কে সামনে রেখে।
ইঁদুর ঘোরে আহারের টানে ; পেঁচা তার সামনে ডাকে,
পারেনা পেঁচা খুঁজতে তাকে, বৃষ্টি তখন এসে পড়ে।
মুষলধারে বৃষ্টি হলে; ময়ূরী নাচে পেখম মেলে,
সাপ বেজি লড়াই ছেড়ে, দেখে তাকে দুচোখ ভরে ।
ময়ূর আসে ছুটে ছুটে ;প্রেমলীলার বাঁশি বাজে,
ঝিঝি পোকা সুর তোলে ,ব্যাঙের ডাক অবিরাম বাজে।
পাহাড় সাজে ফুলের ঝোপে ;বৃষ্টি হলে গা ভেজে,
গলা মাটি এঁকেবেঁকে ,জলের সাথে মিশে চলে ।
জমা হয় নদীর ধারে ; নতুন গন্ধ লাগে,
নদী ছুটে চলে প্রবলবেগে, সমুদ্রের মাঝে মিশে যেতে।
সমুদ্র নিচে ঢেউ তোলে; জলের রং সাদা করে ,
হঠাৎ নদী নতুন রঙ নিয়ে, সমুদ্র মাতাল করে।
নেশায় সমুদ্র মাতাল হয়ে; আছড়ে পরে কিনারার কোলে,
জানি তুমি শান্তি পাবে, এইসব আপন ভেবে।
