"Waiting For Godot "as a representative of the Theatre of Absurd

"Waiting For Godot "as a representative of the  Theatre of Absurd  -----explain

The Theatre of the  Absurd is a term coined by critic Martin Esslin, who made the title  of his book on the subject. The term refers to a drama that emphasis es absurdity of human existence by employing disjointed repetitious  and meaningless dialogues proposeless and confusing situations and plots that lacks realistic or logical development which just become popular during the 1950 A.D and 1960 A.D. which presented  on the stage the philosophy articulated by the French philosopher Albert Camus  in his "The Myth of Sisyphus". primarily deals with the five defining playwrights of the moment- Samuel Beckett of them . Beckett's classic tragicomedy is known for it is lack of plot -
"nothing happens, nobody comes, nobody goes ,it is awful !"
Two old tramps beneath a single tree,  make jokes of human existence while they  wait for Godot- who never comes- a classic play of absurd.

One of Samuel Backett's main concerns is the the polarity of existence. In Waiting for Godot , Endgame and Krapp's Last Tape, we have such characteristics as- sight versus blindness, life versus death , present Times - past times, waiting - not waiting, going - not going and dozen more. another is Beckett's main concern then seems to be characterising men's existence in the terms of this polarities. To do this Backett's groups his characters in pairs ;for example , we have Vladimir  and Estragon , Pozzo and Lucky , Hamm and Clov , Nagg and Nell. However Beckett's characters remain a puzzle which is each individual viewer must solve.

In Waiting For Godot , we never know where the play  takes place except that is set on "a country road " that makes a confusion of the right place of the play. In the tradition play ,the characters are developed it and gradually we come to see the dramartist's world view , the play  then rises to climax , and there is a conclusion but the Theatre of Absurd play , the structure is often exactly the opposite .We have , instead , a circular structure and most aspects of this drama support these circular structures in one way or another.
more important then the repetitions of setting and time , however is the repetitions of the actions .To repeat in addition to the basic structure of actions indicated earlier that is -

"Vladimir and Estragon alone
 Arrival of Pozzo and Lucky
 Vladimir and Estragon alone
Arrival of boy messenger
Vladimir and Estragon alone".

There are many lasser actions that are repeated in both Acts. At the beginning of each act , for example , Vladimir noticing Estragon's boots and said the same words :

" so there you are again " in Act 1
and    "there you are again " in Act 2.
At the beginning of both act , Vladimir and Estragon emphasize repeatedly that they are to wait for Godot . In the ending of both  Acts , Vladimir and Estragon discuss the possibility of the hanging themselves . In addition , both acts end in with same words , voiced differently .

"Estragon : well , shall we go ?
Vladimir : yes , let's  go (Act 1) "
"Vladimir : well ? shall we go ?
Estragon :  yes let's go . (Act 2)."

It is also regarded  as an absurd play. Because it is different from " poetic theatres " neither it makes a considerable use of dream and fantasy nor does it employ conscious poetic language . The situation almost remains unchanged and an enigmatic vein runs throughout the play. Here we know that their endless waiting seems to be absurd . Though the fact is that they are conscious of this absurdity "Waiting for Godot" is an absurd play for there is no female characters , characters are there but they are divorced of Identity this two - Estragon and Vladimir are old acquaintance but not sure of their identity .They wait for the ultimate existence , but in a frustrated way .This things produces meaninglessness ,thus make the play absurd.

Finally , most important there are the larger concepts: first , the suffering of the tramps ; second there attemps  to part and ultimately their incessant "Waiting for Godot " - all these make the two acts .Most controversial absurdist play is probably Samuel brackett's "Waiting for Godot " . The language they use often Ludicrius and following the cyclical Pattern. The Theatre of the Absurd will always have its detractors but it lives on.

Poetic journey From Experience to Innocent in Fern Hill poem

"I was Prince of Apple towns"-- who is the prince here? What do you mean by apple towns?-----Explain (Fern Hill) This line taken from Modernist poet Dylan Thomas' s Fern Hill , here in the poem, Prince is the poet himself. He came back on his journey from experience to innocent childhood through poetic imagination, where he had spent most of the time during childhood. ' Apple towns ' referred to nature and the age of childhood of the poet, mentioned in the first stanza line number 6 where the poet praised the good days of childhood and called himself as a Prince. It is a one kind of metaphor of youth. The poet describes it almost in a Blakian  style from innocence to experience.
