ডুমুর গাছ

ওই গাছের নিচে করে বাস ; কয়েকটা পরিবার।
তারাও জানে বাসতে ভালো ,মন দিয়ে জগতের আলো।
ডুমুর পাতা জড়ো করে ; বসেছে টুনটুনি তাঁত বুনতে ,
যখন বাসা হয়ে যাবে , গদি বিছানা ভিতরে রবে।
তখন সেতাই পারবে ডিম; ফুটবে ছানা , উড়বে একদিন।
বেসে যাবে আকাশ ছিঁড়ে ; ছোট ডানা নিয়ে ,
আবার ফিরে আসতে হবে , এই জন্মভূমির কোলে।
পিপিলিকা গর্ত ছেড়ে ; সারিসারি চলছে দূরে ,
ডুমুর গাছের চূড়ায় উঠে ,আহার খোজে।
হঠাৎ মিষ্টি ফলের গন্ধে , পিপিলিকার দল সেথায় ছোটে।
আহার জোগাড় হলে ,বিদায় জানাতে চাই গাছে রে।
পারেনা তারা বিদায় জানাতে ,আসতে হবে আবারও যে।
অন্ধকারে গর্ত জুড়ে ; সাপটি রয়েছে কুণ্ডলী মেরে ,
গাছের পাতার ফাঁক দিয়ে , রুপোলি কাঠি পরছে গায়ে।
ভাঙছে ঘুম তার এবার ;চাই যেতে নদীর পাড়ে।
দেবে পাড়ি একবারে ,গাছটাকে ছাড়িয়ে ।
আবার তাকে ফিরতে হবে ,গাছের ছায়া মাড়িয়ে।
গাছটি শীড় উচু করে; সব দেখে কাছ থেকে দূরে,
এক এক করে সবাই ফেরে , যারা ছেড়েছে তাকে।
কাটাতে চাই সারা জীবন, এই গাছের নিচে।
